Hello Readers!
Welcome readers to the 2nd meeting of the 2024-25 Mary Elizabeth Garret Book Club sponsored by the Welch Medical Library. We will gather in-person in the 2nd floor Welch Medical Library conference room (wine, water, and cheese) as well as with those with those who prefer a zoom link. The academic year is closing with the rejuvenation of spring and new students. We have selected Robin Wall Kimmerer’s The Serviceberry. She is the author of Braiding Sweetgrass.
The Serviceberry is described as a bold and inspiring vision for how to orient our lives around gratitude, reciprocity, and community, based on the lessons of the natural world.
Please join the discussion of The Serviceberry from 5-6:30 pm, Wednesday, June 25 in the Welch Medical Library, 2nd floor conference room (204).
