Welch hosts Mary Elizabeth Garrett Book Club

Dear Reader,

The Welch Medical Library would like to announce the next two 2023 JHM book club meetings. We appreciate the support of the SOM Offices of Wellness, Women in Science and Medicine, and Faculty Development in sharing this information. We have a theme of personal exploration and wellness for this year. We share what Maya Angelou wrote, “When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young.” We had a thoughtful discussion of our first book via Zoom of Jillian Horton’s We Are all Perfectly fine. Please join us with old and new friends.

Please RSVP to [email protected] if you plan to attend Wednesday April 12 from 5-6:30 in the Welch Medical Library, 2nd floor conference room (204). Also available by Zoom.

2023 Book #2 will be HOW NOT TO DROWN IN A GLASS OF WATER by Angela Cruz

Wednesday April 12 from 5-6:30 in the Welch Medical Library, 2nd floor conference room (204). Join by Zoom: https://jhjhm.zoom.us/j/96341447752?pwd=NVVDTXZNaEtqdFdMVTNpWjJud3VQZz09

We look forward to seeing you there!
