Impact factor creator and chemical information pioneer Eugene Garfield honored

Eugene Garfield, who passed away in 2017, was honored by chemists speaking at the American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting this past week.

Eugene Garfield is known as the creator of the impact factor.  During his time at Welch Medical Library as a research assistant, he helped with the investigation in the potential of using computers for information services.
