Oxford Handbooks Online: Music
Oxford Handbooks Online in Music form a network of reference articles on current scholarship in all areas of music research including historical musicology, ethnomusicology, theory, pedagogy, dance, and technology. OHO complements and completes the volumes in print by updating and expanding on them and by creating links between the volumes. While OHO aims to provide reference works for any current field of inquiry, the series pays particular attention to newly established and emerging fields. -

The 70+ philosophy books in this collection cover the topics of aesthetics; epistemology; feminist philosophy; history of western philosophy; metaphysics; moral philosophy; social and political philosophy; and philosophy of language, law, math and logic, mind, religion, and science. You can focus your search using the filters on the left (such as topic), or you can use the main search box at the top of the page to search all available handbooks. For example, a search for "genetic discrimination" retrieves articles from four Oxford Handbooks: those for Business Ethics, Philosophy of Biology, Bioethics, and Reproductive Ethics. -

Oxford Scholarly Editions Online (OSEO)
Oxford Scholarly Editions Online (OSEO) currently includes writers active between the 8th and 20th century, plus Classical Latin poetry, history, and drama, including all of Shakespeare’s plays, the complete works of Jane Austen, Ovid, and Virgil, the poetry of John Donne, and works by Adam Smith and Jeremy Bentham. OSEO provides full-text access to hundreds of editions, showcasing their authoritative editorial notes directly alongside the text and enabling advanced search within and between editions. -

Past Masters: Full Text of Classic Works in the Humanities
Past Masters provides electronic editions of selected texts by philosophers and political economists, along with basic search and retrieval software. The English collection includes these databases: Locke, Berkeley, Hume; Hobbes; The Utilitarians: Bentham, Mill, Sidgwick; Economics: Smith, Ricardo, Mill; Peirce; Political Philosophy: Hobbes, Locke, Hume, Paine, Bentham, Mill, Constitution of the United States. The French collection includes these databases: The Continental Rationalists: Descartes; Political Philosophy: Rousseau. Patent Public Search
The Patent Public Search database consists includes information about all US patents (including utility, design, reissue, plant patents and SIR documents) from the first patent issued in 1790 to the most recent issue week. ####Patents from January 1976 to the present offer the full searchable text, including all bibliographic data, such as the inventor's name, the patent's title, and the assignee's name; the abstract; the full description of the invention; and the claims. The display of each patent's full-text includes a hyperlink to obtain full-page images of each page of the patent. Information from Certificates of Correction and Reexaminations is not included in the full-text database per se, but can be found as pages attached to the full-page images of the original patent. ####Patents from 1790 to December 1975 offer only the patent number and the current US patent classification in the text display, and can be searched only by those fields. However, this limited text display also includes a hyperlink to obtain full-page images of each page of the patent.

The Patrologia Latina Database contains 221 volumes and represents a complete electronic version of the first edition of Jacques-Paul Migne's Patrologia Latina (1844-1855 and 1862-1865). This full-text version of the Abbe Migne's edition of Patristic and early Medieval religious texts provides a thorough overview of the making of Western religious thought from the late Classical period to the early 13th century.
