Dave Kennedy
Biographical Information

David Kennedy is the Associate Director for Digital Systems and Services.  He oversees the architecture and infrastructure behind the Welch Library web site and which supports Welch operations, human to human services, and digital library services.

Mr. Kennedy began at Johns Hopkins in 2010 as Head of Library Systems for Sheridan Libraries, and assumed his current role in 2015.  Prior to Johns Hopkins, he has worked at academic libraries at Duke and Maryland since 1998, with most of his time spent as a software engineer.  His interests and contributions to library science have been in the areas of authentication mechanisms and digital repositories.  During his career, he has led and served on national task forces for InCommon Federation, Digital Library Federation, and National Information Standards Organization.

Education

Mr. Kennedy received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park.
