Access to E-Resources from Off Campus

Current members of the Hopkins community who are working off campus can use the licensed online resources of the Welch library by logging in with their JHED credentials and using the Library-generated links to e-resources.

The easiest way to access our e-resources is through these links that we provide:

  • On the Welch website
  • In JHU Libraries Catalog
  • On the Find It icon found in databases, the catalog, etc.

You may login:

  1. Via the WelchWeb. Look for the "Login" link in the upper right-hand corner of the WelchWeb home page. Once you have done this all of the Library-generated links to e-resources will work for you.

Note: If you have not already logged in, when you one of these library-generated links you will be prompted to log in via the familiar blue Johns Hopkins Enterprise Authentication screen.

  3. Via Johns Hopkins Virtual Private Network (VPN) session. This will allow a JH user to connect to the Hopkins network remotely as if they were on campus. In order to setup a JH VPN session, log into the My JHU portal with your JHED credentials and select VPN.
